Vera A. Edge, 84, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at Mill Creek Alzheimer’s Care Center.

She was born in Bridgeport on Sept. 20, 1927 to Linus and Hazel (Hawly) Ogalsbee. She married Halbert V. Edge in 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; 2 brothers, Harold and Delmer and 3 sisters, Agnes, Mary and Katie.

Vera was an Avon sales representative in Riverton for 25 years. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Stephen (Georgia) Edge of Riverton; a daughter, Susan Baker of Rochester, NY; 3 grandchildren, Jared, Derek and Erica Edge; a brother, Phillip (Peg) Ogalsbee; a sister, Grace Crewel; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Dr. Richard R. Ahlgrim officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
